Working from home

Running a business from home means family rooms often have to double up as work space. Our clients wanted a versatile lighting scheme for their dining room so it could also be used for work and meetings.

Our solution

A combination of compact fluorescent, low voltage halogen, standard tungsten and LED light sources was used, with the majority being dimmable.

Rise and fall pendant lights with electronic ballast and a 10 watt CFL provide bright and adaptable work light for the meeting room table. The hand-made torpedo-shape, ruby glass lampshades from Adrian Sankey were chosen to complement the internal décor. Background lighting was provided using traditional wall lights and LED picture lights, with accent lighting produced by recessed low voltage halogen lights with drop glass covers.
